I'm raising a sound maker. Until I get smart enough to upload videos directly here, I will have to provide you a link to youtube to enjoy viewing this toddler of ours.
Andy's sound effect inventory includes:
cow, dog, monkey (his ultimate favorite), cat, owl, lion (my ultimate favorite-this video doesn't d o it justice), bear-what am I forgetting-oh yeah; armadillo, yak, and ostrich.
Did you really fall for the armadillo, yak, and ostrich? What sounds do they even make anyway?!
Sometimes I look at this irresistible baby...
And just want to dance with him. So, we turn up the music and we dance.
Because that's what you do when life gives you cute babies!

"And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed!
Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed!" ~Dr. Seuss
We love the big guy our little guy is turning in to. He's...a KEEPER!

I AM Christian. Why do some feel they have the right to take this away from someone? No, you do not have a monopoly on Christ. The practice of condemning people and telling them that "You are not Christian, but I am" is intolerance and biogtry, and, you do not have a monopoly on Jesus Christ. He is the center of my life and we strive our best to keep Him the center of our home in all we do. It's interesting to me that Mormonism has caught such flack from the media. Why is it that other religions are left alone? If you are going to judge one political candidate based on his religious beliefs I would hope you would likewise and equally do so for the other candidates. This isn't a plug for Mitt Romney although I do really like his plan for our country, it is simply an example of the ever present, scrutinizing eyes that are zeroed in on us "Mormons". And although I say that I don't understand why we catch such hateful flack and why people argue that we are not Christians, I do really. Not because it is a true statement in any regard, but because it is the quickest way to get any good Christian not to consider the truths of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If I weren't into doing my own research and digging deeper than what I heard from my Pastor or Preacher on Sunday, I would likely not check into the Mormon church because I was simply told that "they aren't Christian." It is the quickest ploy to keep a congregation coming to support a paid ministry and sadly the quickest way to keep believers from the truth. With all respect to good men and women who teach from the bible the word of God, I do believe that is true and good. But it isn't all. Don't be deceived...ask a Mormon what we believe. I have a testimony of the Restored Gospel and even if all the temptations and powers of the devil combined against me, I would not deny it.

FYI: This post was motivated by my sweet born again neighbor who just informed me that she does not believe I am a Christian. Well, let me tell you, I am. And I will be happy to tell her and anyone else why, just give me a few minutes of your time. It might help to read the following- The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles.
It is perfect, and will only take a moment out of your busy day to read.

My mind is blank, well, not really. But it is full of stuff boring to the blogging world so I asked Kevin to give me a topic to blog about. His response, "pie". Ok. Pie. It is one of his all time favorites and I could go without. I prefer pudding style or frozen desserts. We get along just fine with this difference because I will still occasionally make him pie and he will always join me in eating my kind of desserts. Today I am grateful for Kevin and for his love of pie amongst other things like his family :). I love you sweet man of mine!
Update: Kevin just informed me that he had pie for breakfast. He also taught me that ice cream has a lot of protein, so it's "good for you." So glad to have this guy who thinks outside of the box!

Happiness is listening to your hunk of a baby chat with all of his crib friends (Mr. Owly, Horse, and Ruff Dog) as he wakes up cheerfully from a full night's rest!
That sound is something I wish I could bottle up for rainy days.

Andy's favorite...umm, no...FAVORITE movie is Toy Story. I think he really loves those loyal toys. From about 5 months to 8 months Andy had a loyal toy. It was his rubber snake. He'd take it in his stroller while we would go to yard sales, he would hold onto it tightly as we would grocery shop, and he would keep it close for road trips.
That toy brightened the saddest moments. We lost it on a road trip to Aunt Lisa's house and when they were finally reunited a few months later, the flame was gone {sigh}. Things are going to come and go out of Andy's life but one things for sure, we will always be there!
