I DOUBLE like him!!

I usually set out Andy's clothes on Sunday and Kev dresses him while I get myself ready. I love when Kev finishes and brings him in to show me how he looks, makes me laugh every time! Something about him in little man clothes cracks me up!

I guess I didn't really know how chunky my little googly bear was until I took these pictures while waiting at the doctors office the other day.

Andy thought being 'above the 95th percentile for height and weight' was pretty funny! He's 15.5 lbs and 25 1/2 in of burnin' love :)

He didn't think getting poked 5 times was funny at all!

But he's a smart cookie, he already knows to play dead to stop an attacker ;)

I have realized how quickly this little guy is growing so I've been soaking up every last 'little' minute with him and have not allowed Kevin to call him a 'big boy' (our little secret is that he is getting quite big :)) Here are some 'little' moments to share with you...

Our poor little guy has been quite congested so the other day after his bath I did the saline drop/brain sucker routine which he understandably is not a huge fan of. He surprised me this time though and fell fast asleep in the middle of the routine and resumed this pose throughout the duration of his nap.

News flash Andy...it's bed time. It's quite apparent here that he's not catching his dad's sleepy vibes :)

Featured here is our happy 'little' waterdog. He loves himself some tubby time! And it seems as if each day there's another crease for me to scrub. I love his chunkiness!

This one is for you Gramps! Don't worry though, he's laughing with you, not at you :)

Oh, and please excuse the spitup on my sleeve. I can get away with anything with a face as cute as this RIGHT?!

Andy's Baby Blessing

Kevin gave Andy his name, Andy LaRell Gilbert, and a sweet baby blessing to follow him through his life the day after Christmas. He is our amazing little angel sent from heaven, if only he could tell us what he remembers. I love him more than I could've ever imagined and each day I love him more than the last. I am so lucky to be his mommy. He melts my heart!

The Apple of My Eye

Santa came early to our home this year! Here is our sweet little Andy LaRell Gilbert. We are quite proud of him. He is very huggable and even more kissable. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him since 7:27pm on November 21^st. Every last 8lb 6oz and 21 in of him was the sweetest and he’s been growing fast just giving more for us to love. Our Christmas wish list has been fulfilled. We feel truly blessed and can’t wait for you to meet him!

Baby Showers with Family and Friends!

Between my family and friends up here, I felt pretty loved these last couple weeks. My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law threw me a 'Gilbert Gathering Shower' and I (and Baby G) were so spoiled by all the aunts, cousins, grandma, etc. I didn't have my camera to capture the amazing lunch they put on but if you know my mother-in-law you can just imagine it was FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS! I did manage to get a picture of my mother-in-law (soon to be Grandma in our family's vocabulary :)), Grandma Gilbert, and my amazing sisters-in-law Tyree, Natalie and Karen. I love them all so much! Thanks for being the best!!

Then I was spoiled by my friends who put together a super cute jungle themed party with lots of yummy cookies!

We played a couple fun games, this one was poking fun at the real life troubles a pregnant woman has day to day, specifically, tying shoes. I could make a lengthy list of all the things I hope to never take for granted again when my belly isn't big and pregnant :).

The hostesses made me the cutest diaper elephant. He had two eyes until one of their sweet little girls thought one looked tempting...now it's the missing binki :).

Me...oober excited for Desitin!! Oh, I have NO idea what lies ahead of me. But for now, in my ignorance, let me be excited for bum rash cream :). I guess I'm mostly excited for my very own little baby bum to love!
