VACATION!!!

Here's our trip in reverse order because that's how the pictures uploaded and that's how I'm leaving them! After a long summer of work and before a busy harvest season, Kevin announced that we were going to take a vacation and that it would be long and amazing...and right he was! We headed up to Port Angeles so we could board the ferry to Victoria then we explored the Olympic Peninsula and finished up on the WA coast at Ocean Shores. Enjoy your picture viewing...

Per Kevin's request we did a drive through of Forks and appreciated it for all of it's fame and glory :)
What a hoax! I'm still mortal!
Beach Boys
One tired puppy with his favorite toy~Sammy the Snake
Our B&B that was in wolf territory...it was beautiful!
Beach crusin'
Olympic National Forest:
"I don't know about this dad..."
Enjoying the view from the back seat
Lake Cresent: The most beautiful mountain lake I have ever seen (specifically 'mountain' because I am faithful to Lake Powell). The water was aqua it was so crystal clear!
Hurricane Ridge, WA
Breath taking views!
The boys telling me where we had explored.
The precedings to me being pelted with an unusually hard snow ball.
Staring into the future.
God's creations at their greatest!
Bambi's great-great-great grandaughter.
Andy's first international experience. Canada, here we come!
Enjoying Bubblegum ice cream on the boardwalk of Victoria while watching acrobats show off their body bending, fire throwing, people balancing skills.
Andy's first bus ride.
The Sunken Garden
Break at the Blue Poppy in the Butchart Gardens to satisfy ravenous appetites.
Of all the amazing flowers blooming in the beautiful Butchart Garden's, this was my favorite:
There were Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, and Rose gardens. My favorite of all the gardens was the Japanese, it was like rest for the soul.
Busted picking flowers. Upon entering the gardens our tour bus driver pointed out two mounds which he told us is where the gardeners bury the bodies of those who pick their flowers. Luckily, Andy escaped alive! But just by a petal ;)
Riding off into the sunset, saying goodbye to BC and headed back to the good ol' US of A!
More hiking, now at Sequim, WA
The Olympic Game Farm
We had the pleasure of having a llama sneeze all over us...
Don't you just want to squeeze him?!
Or admire from a distance?
Andy's favorite critters of all were the racoons. They had him laughing out loud! Gramps, you're going to have to make a pet out of the next one you catch. Come on, do it for Andy!
Hydrangeas the boys picked for me and what we listened to on the road- The Hunger Games, getting ready for the movie to come out!
It's impossible not to smooch those cheeks all day long!
Lenticular cloud over Mount Rainier. I didn't just slide by in Geology 101!
...and it truly was a "long and amazing vacation."
~THE END~
